How do I get a full student loan for college?

Raspberry asked:
I understand that if I apply with an FAFSA that it will determine the loan I will get based off of how much I can pay. However, how do I get a loan that will fully cover all college expenses and I pay back after I get my degree? To do this do I still apply with FAFSA or do I just go straight to a bank?

Start with the FAFSA. It is a required process with all schools – and it determines your grant and work study eligibility.
Make an appointment with your financial aid adviser. They will tell you what you are eligible for and how to get it. Different schools have different lenders. Each school also has different loans, grants, and scholarships available. So – you need to see an adviser to really know – and yes, you can get enough to cover everything.
Good luck
