Can my girlfriend claim my student loan intrest?

Help asked:
I was wondering if my girlfriend can claim the intrest on my student loan , Instead of me filing an amendment to my tax return.
She would give me cash to make the payment , and I would make the payments from my bank account. She can’t prove that she gave me the money , so I was wondering if that would be a problem for her for trying to claim the intrest write-off.

No, it’s listed under your social security number.
sure…. she can file anything… but the IRS would consider it tax fraud. I would recommend against it.
No. The loan is yours.
Don’t even bother trying. It’s just going to cause problems for the both of you.
