Hi, I have just enrolled into NIU, and have not recieved any help from the financial aid office. So I need to find a student loan that will fit my needs. Unfortunatly, I am nether a citizen nor a perminant resident. I am in the process of becoming a perminant resident, so I have no visa ether, but I am still a legal resident of US. Other than that, the co-signer which I would use to get a student loan is my parent, who is in the same situation as I am. After calling a couple of loan lenders, I have found out that most banks will not issue a student loan unless the co-signer is a US citizen.

So, I am asking you if you can tell me about ANY lender which doesn't require the co-signer or myself to be a US citizen. Thank you.
